Abstrakt
The article analyses the methods of formation of historical competence among students of tourism specialties. The content and significance of historical competence in the system of professional competence of future specialists in the tourism industry are considered. The authors consider the need for the formation of historical competence in connection with the growing demand for historical and cultural tours and the popularity of historical and cultural tourism. Historical and cultural tourism is a form of travel aimed at visiting places that have a significant historical heritage. The main purpose of this type of tourism is to get acquainted with the cultural and historical heritage of a particular region. In addition, historical and cultural tourism contributes not only to the economic development of the region, but also increases the self-awareness and pride of the local population for its unique heritage, and also provides an opportunity to share this heritage with visitors. Correct management of this type of tourism allows to creation of a system of rational use of unique resources for the development of tourism in the region. Historical and cultural tourism allows tourists to get to know cultural and historical sights, values, and traditions, as well as feel the atmosphere of historical eras and events. Historical and cultural tourism opens access to the cultural and historical wealth of regions, helping travellers to immerse themselves in the world of past eras and understand the essence and value of cultural heritage. The need for historical training for tourists is becoming more and more obvious and relevant nowadays. Traveling to historical places and visiting cultural monuments is becoming one of the most popular types of tourism, and to get the most out of such trips, it is important to have a certain level of historical knowledge. The authors prove that historical training helps tourists better understand the context and meaning of the places visited. They can analyse historical facts, events, and personalities related to cultural heritage, which allows them to delve deeper into the history of a country or region. It is concluded that historical training contributes to encouraging respect and a reverent attitude to cultural monuments. Specialists in the tourism industry, who understand the history and value of cultural objects, are more inclined to preserve and respect them. This is especially important in the context of preserving cultural heritage for future generations. Also, historical training broadens the horizons and increases the cultural awareness of tourists, which makes their trips richer and more interesting. They can better appreciate the art, architecture, and other aspects of culture they encounter while traveling.
